Shows work from regualr classes over the last couple of years. Includes a mix of exercises, basic drills, sparring, situation work, etc. The experience of the students ranges from a few weeks up to a couple of years.

GENERAL CLIPS
TRADITIONAL RUSSIAN ARTS	Russia has many ethnic groups with their own martial arts. In some cases these arts survived in folk traditions and similar practices. This clip shows some if these, including boxing, weapons, throwing and mass attack work
SYSTEMA EXERCISES	Systema incorporates an incredibly broad range of exercises. These work particularly on mobility and tendon or tensile strength to build functional power - a body capable of unrestricted movement with the ability to deliver powerful strikes from any position. The exercises are demonstrated by Vladimir at a Toronto workshop
HEALTH EXERCISES 1	Russian martial arts include many health practices. These include various types of body manipulation and massage, breathing exercises, cold water dousing, fasting and more. Here Vladimir demonstrates some of these practices.

SERGEI1	SERGEI OZHERELIEV UK 2002 Sergei is one of Mikhail's top students. In 2002 he visited for workshops in London. Cambridge and Yorkshire. As with most of our workshops, attendees included our own students, plus members of the armed services, police instructors and security staff. Work on the clip includes taking hits, working in a confined space, takedowns, pressure points, massage and knife work.
